acronyms

thought of this when i was doing my birthday invitations.
do u use acronyms dat u don't understand? or am i e only idiot who does?
for example, do u know wat P.S, N.B and RSVP means?

no la.
P.S is not pangsai or pangsei.
N.B is not nabei.

i asked yang abt this, and he wiki-ed for me.

P.S = Post Script
1. A message appended at the end of a letter after the writer's signature.
2. Additional information appended to the manuscript, as of a book or article.

RSVP
"Repondez s'il vous plait", a French phrase that translates to "Respond please.
(omg! i'd never have guessed..)

N.B = NotaBene (latin)
Used to direct attention to something particularly important.
